Lower Mac - Pee Wee Cheer - Update 9/13
by posted 09/13/2019

Hi, Pee Wee Cheerleader Parents!

Here’s your weekly recap and reminders:

1.  MEET-THE-PLAYER NIGHT:  TONIGHT is “Meet-the-Player” Night at Emmaus High School stadium.  Arrive at the freshman football field (near the softball field) by 5:45 pm.  Keep in mind that parking may be limited so give yourself some extra time to walk over!  We will review the cheer and line up for procession, with the first team being escorted out on the field at 6:15 pm.  Introductions are set to start at 6:30 pm.   Please note that your cheerleader is free, but all parents, siblings, guests will have to pay for entrance to the football game.

Cheerleaders should be dressed in full uniform (shell vest, skirt, bloomers/biker shorts, socks, sneakers with white laces, and red hair bow -- hair should be in a high pony with bow facing forward, and bring along the jacket).  No water bottles (unless you want to hold with you in the stands).

Let Coach Liz know if you will NOT be at the event tonight so we are not waiting for your cheerleader to arrive.  Thanks!

2.  UPCOMING GAME:  The next game is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, September 14th v. LCYA at LMMS (HOME) at 10:15 am.  Please report to the field by 9:45 am for warm-ups/practice.   Cheerleaders should be dressed in full uniform (shell vest, skirt, bloomers/biker shorts, socks, sneakers with white laces, and red hair bow -- hair should be in a high pony with bow facing forward). You may want to bring along the jacket, too.  Don't forget your water!

3.  CHEERS: This week at practice we learned more of the half-time dance.  We will continue to work on the half-time dance at practices and BEFORE GAMES, so please be prompt!

4.  ATTENDANCE:  Please let one of your Coaches know if your cheerleader will be absent from a practice, game or other event.  Text (preferred), call, or email is OK.  It is very much appreciated as we try to keep tabs on so many cheerleaders!

5.  GAME SCHEDULE: Below is the Schedule for Pee Wees.  Please note that game times may change at any time (and we will do our best to keep you updated).  Report time is 30 minutes prior to game start.

·         Saturday, September 21 vs. Allentown As @ LMMS (HOME) – 10:15 am

·         Saturday, September 28 vs. South Parkland @ Upper Macungie (AWAY) – 12:00 pm

NO CHEER PRACTICE TONIGHT!
by posted 09/12/2019

Dear Parents,

Due to the heavy rain this afternoon... we will not be having Cheer Practice this evening. We will see everyone tomorrow evening at the High School.

For tomorrow night... please have your child wear: Cheer sneakers, cheer socks, bloomers, skirt, vest, hairbow and bring their jacket. We probably will not have them wear it into stadium but please still bring it. We can make the decision at 5:30 tomorrow and have parents hold onto them while we are on field and track if so.

Email us with any questions. Enjoy the night!

Mustang Cheer updates! 9/6/19
by posted 09/06/2019

Dear Parents,

Good Morning! We hope everyone is having a great week! Please read below to see all updated info!

-Tomorrow is game day against our rivals across town-Emmaus. We are hoping our girls can cheer the Football players on to a VICTORY! Please note, all of the games have changed location to Emmaus Community Park (no longer High School). Coaches will be emailing info if they have not done so already in regards to time, what to wear, etc.

-Reminder-Next Friday evening 9/13 is our Meet the Player night at Emmaus High School. For those who are new to Mustangs program, this is such a FUN NIGHT! All of the kids love it and it is a great way to come together and show our Mustang pride. We don't know exact details yet, we are waiting on hearing from the coordinators of the High School for more information. In previous years, cheerleaders were dropped off around 5:30 PM at the Softball field located directly behind the Football stadium. From there, parents and family members can proceed into the stadium. You'll need to pay to get in, but all players, cheerleaders and coaches are permitted in free. Around 6:15/6:30, Football players and Cheerleaders will be announced onto field by name. Our girls will then get an opportunity to do a cheer or two on the track with the HS cheerleaders. Girls will be done between the time of 7-7:30 ish. It is then your choice to stay and hang out or you may leave. Stay tuned for more details about this night and what exactly girls will be wearing (weather permitting).

-Reminder-Please join us for the September Lower Mac Mustangs Football and Cheerleading Organization meeting. All with an interest in the program are invited to attend. Monday 9/9 at 8:30 PM at 1760 House in Trexlertown. This is a great way to get involved, have any questions answered, and to hear the latest information from our Board. We encourage all parents to attend!

-As a reminder... While at home and away games we do our best to clear a section for our Cheerleaders to stand and cheer. Please be sure to vacate the area once your child is done cheering to accomodate the next squad of girls coming in. Also... please do your best to provide adequate space for our Coaches to be seated in front of girls. Coaches need enough space to be able to call cheers and we need plenty of room to spread out for tumbling, stunts, dances, etc. Thank you for your cooperation!

-Looking ahead... next week is a game at home against LCYA. We will need volunteers for set up, grill, Mustang munchie tent and clean up. As a reminder, all parents need to complete one shift per season, per child that is involved in Mustangs. If you are able to do more, that is great! Sign up genius available here.

The girls are doing great and we are so proud of them and our wonderful ladies that are committed to coaching them. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Have a great weekend!

GO MUSTANGS!
